Midnight Tide Red Gold Fountain Pen | Handcrafted Gift Set with A5 Journal & Caran d’Ache Ink

MIDNIGHT TIDE RED GOLD FOUNTAIN PEN

Handcrafted in Colorado. One of a kind. Made to mean something.

Inspired by the mysterious beauty of moonlight moving across dark water, Midnight Tide blends deep ocean blues, luminous pearl, subtle violet and warm golden currents into a resin that seems to change every time it catches the light.

The swirling pattern evokes waves rolling beneath a midnight sky, while the warmth of our Red Gold appointments creates a striking contrast against the cool oceanic tones.

Each Midnight Tide is individually hand-lathed in Lone Tree, Colorado, USA. Because every resin blank develops its own unique movement and pattern, no two Midnight Tide pens will ever be exactly alike.

This is not simply a fountain pen. It is a handcrafted writing instrument created to make the act of putting pen to paper feel significant again.

THE FOUNTAIN PEN

At the heart of Midnight Tide is a German-made #6 medium-point iridium fountain pen nib plated in Red Gold.

The substantial #6 nib beautifully complements the proportions of the pen while providing the smooth, confident writing experience expected from a Highlander writing instrument.

Midnight Tide accepts international-standard fountain pen cartridges and also includes a large German-made converter, allowing you to use bottled fountain pen ink whenever you choose.

We include a black Schmidt ink cartridge so your pen is ready to write when it arrives, along with the complimentary Caran d’Ache Idyllic Blue cartridges selected especially for Midnight Tide.

SIGNATURE HIGHLANDER HARDWARE

Midnight Tide features our custom Highlander hardware, designed to make the pen unmistakably ours.

Intricately engraved into both the cap and body finials is our signature Rampant Lion, inspired by one of Scotland’s most revered symbols.

Our lion is depicted standing upon writing paper while holding a pen—an expression of strength, courage, nobility and the enduring power of the written word.

The substantial finials also contribute to the pen’s carefully considered weight and balance.

Around the center band is a repeating series of our understated “H” monogram—a subtle signature of Highlander craftsmanship and a reminder that, in spirit, we are all Highlanders at heart.

YOUR COMPLIMENTARY HIGHLANDER A5 JOURNAL

Every Midnight Tide Fountain Pen includes a complimentary Highlander A5 Journal, selected to transform the pen into a complete writing experience.

The journal features luxurious 120 GSM soft-white paper, providing a smooth writing surface that is gentle on the eyes and designed to minimize ghosting.

Its sewn, lay-flat binding allows the pages to remain comfortably open while writing, while the sophisticated Saffiano-style soft cover blends traditional elegance with contemporary design.

The finishing detail is unmistakably Highlander:

Red Gold gilded page edges.

The warm metallic finish beautifully complements the Red Gold appointments of Midnight Tide and adds an unexpected touch of luxury every time the journal is opened.

A matching satin page marker helps keep important thoughts and ideas close at hand.

Each journal is carefully wrapped in stationery tissue, finished with a Highlander sticker and presented inside a sleek black gift box featuring our iconic Highlander Rampant Lion.

It is more than somewhere to write.

It was created:

“To inspire you to reconnect with your own genius inside.”
— Chuck Liniger

COMPLIMENTARY CARAN D’ACHE IDYLLIC BLUE INK

To complete the Midnight Tide experience, we’re including a complimentary six-pack of Caran d’Ache Chromatics Idyllic Blue fountain pen ink cartridges.

We specifically chose Idyllic Blue because of the way its rich blue tone complements the oceanic colors flowing throughout Midnight Tide.

Slip an Idyllic Blue cartridge into the pen, open your Highlander journal, and everything—from the ink on the page to the colors of the pen itself—feels intentionally coordinated.

HANDCRAFTED — NEVER MASS PRODUCED

Every Midnight Tide begins as an individual resin blank before being carefully shaped and finished by hand.

Variations in the placement of blue, pearl, violet and gold are not imperfections—they are what make each pen genuinely one of a kind.

The Midnight Tide pictured represents the character of this design. Because each pen is individually handcrafted, the exact pattern and placement of colors will naturally vary from one writing instrument to another.

That means the Midnight Tide you receive is uniquely yours.
